Sharron is one of the happy residents of Lewis Fields Retirement Village. Her story is typical of the lifestyle that the villagers experience and shows how retirement village life can make the later years so much simpler and more enjoyable.

Retire to a Lifestyle Village

Living at the Lewis Fields retirement village means I have had to change my lifestyle, yes my life now is so much easier without the worry of looking after a big property and paying bills. A new home that is easy to clean and if my tap is dripping, no need to wait for family or find a tradie, a quick note and my maintenance man is at my home ready to fix it.

My private rear garden allows me to enjoy growing my own veggies plus my fur baby has enough room to run around before we head out for our daily walk.

Independent Village Living

When I am out and about in the village I can stop and chat to my friendly neighbours, make a time to catch up for cup of tea and a chat in the village’s community centre and plan my social calendar whether it is yoga, petanque or happy chatty hour on a Friday evening. If I am feeling energetic then I might even hit the gym.

My days are filled with what I want to do, I live in a nice village surrounded by lovely gardens, I can pop over and have a chat to the retirement village manager or organise some help around home. If I go away I know my home will be looked after, I have peace of mind that everything will be okay.

Village Residents Become Friends

I love catching up with my neighbours over at the community centre as we share some laughs over a good movie, test our brain power with a lively quiz night and the best thing is that all this is happening in the village and I can choose to be involved or not.

No pressure, just a friendly environment built to help me now and into the future.

“…my life now is so much easier.”
